Welcome to a behind-the-scenes look at the heart of our showcase: the incredible cast of Ups & Downs.
Our performers bring talent, energy and real dedication to every rehearsal and performance. Their hard work and enthusiasm light up the stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. From first-time performers to returning favourites, each member of the cast plays an important part in making the magic happen.

Meet our Patrons 

Singer-songwriter, Callum Beattie and Manager, David Rodgers

 

We are incredibly grateful for the support Callum and David have given us in the last two years and we love having them along at some of our rehearsals and club celebrations.

 

In Callum and David's words, 'In a society filled with negativity we both feel very privileged to participate in an environment that is just filled with unadulterated joy.'

OUR MISSION

  • Showing a positive face of disability.  Highlighting the strengths, resilience & achievements of young people with Down Syndrome, while promoting inclusion, accessibility and understanding.

  • To offer inclusive activities including music, dance, and drama with the purpose of  promoting self-expression & boosting confidence....tailoring our activities to suit different skill levels enabling everyone to participate.

  • Creating an environment where our members are paired with volunteers to help them feel comfortable & supported where necessary.

  • As a parent led theatre group we encourage parents to get involved as much as possible, helping with the smooth, safe running of our weekly rehearsals, attending events &  promoting a supportive community around our young people.

  • Regularly recognising & celebrating our members achievements & accomplishments.
